I have to give this Public Diary a little love. I just checked at Google Analytics and it refers more readers to my blogs than anybody else except StumbleUpon. And that’s very surprising.
So I need to do something nice here for this blog. Because blogs have feelings too. Right? Maybe a photo or two. Maybe change the template too. I have these terrible urges to change the templates on my blogs all the time. So now I try to focus all of the mad urges on this one. It must have a terrible complex by now. It is especially difficult to resist these urges now that I have read John Chow and seen the template he is promoting for 70 dollars on his website. It looks really cool. Maybe I will get it for Christmas.
I rewrote a lot of poems and added some to the collection at A Photo Link With Love Poems. They seem a lot better to me now. I am almost proud of this collection. They were pretty ragged before today. But now they seem alright. We will see how long this opinion lasts.
A truck came by the house and almost pulled down all the electric wires. It blew out a transformer. I see a previous post here about transformers blowing out. No squirrels involved this time however. Just a moving van. Not too smart guys. We live in an older neighborhood and anytime there is a major weather event we are looking at a possible power outage. Still, the trees are huge. So you have your trade offs.
Keyword research is coming along. It’s actually kind of fun. It’s a creative process and it involves putting a photo and some keywords together. Then an idea about some written material tends to grow out of that. Hopefully it will work out. It is providing a traffic surge at this point and so I have been doing this and pretty much don’t have time for SU. Maybe this will lead to more even and permanent traffic changes. That would be nice.
Last summer I signed up for Net Zero down at the beach. But then I got wireless broadband for my laptop and forgot about Net Zero. But unfortunately they didn’t forget about me and even managed to keep things going when I got a new credit card. So I noticed this charge today and called the little Betards up to cancel the “service”. Do you know I had to spend ten minutes on the phone with someone trying to cancel the dumb thing. She kept wanting to give me something else “free” for the first month. Like I ever want to talk to these people again.
Comments are down but it is weird because I have actually made some really good contacts lately. These are people who are on the same wavelength. It’s always great to find someone who knows the frequency. Right, Kenneth? So I am just not going to be concerned about comments anymore. I think I have made some good friends because of blogging. Some of them are pretty busy. But until they have been gone for about six months and not responded to about six emails I am going to assume we are still blogging buddies!!
On the other hand I have had it with some folks who don’t respond at all to comments I make on their blogs. I recently found a comment on my blog and went to that person’s blog. It was a nice blog so I reviewed it and put it on my blogroll. And I told this person I had done it. In response I heard not one word! Here in Virginia we call that rude. And so everything got deleted.
I did make one comment on this person’s blog. It was “Hello?” That’s not very nice, is it? Tacky is as tacky does. Oh well. I felt much better afterwards.
